A technology-driven fintech organisation in Estonia is looking for a Senior Fintech API Product Owner to lead the strategy, development, and evolution of API products connecting financial services, platforms, partners, and internal systems.

This role sits at the intersection of product management, financial technology, and software architecture. You will own the API product lifecycle and ensure that technical capabilities translate into reliable, commercially valuable services.

Core Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for strategic fintech API capabilities.
• Define API products that support payments, accounts, customer data, financial workflows, or partner integrations.
• Translate business requirements into clear product specifications and API capabilities.
• Work closely with engineering and architecture teams throughout product delivery.
• Develop API documentation, product requirements, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
• Establish standards for API usability, reliability, scalability, and lifecycle management.
• Analyse developer and partner feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement.
• Coordinate API versioning, deprecation, releases, and migration strategies.
• Work with security and compliance teams to incorporate appropriate controls into API products.
• Monitor API performance, adoption, availability, and customer-impact metrics.
• Manage dependencies across engineering, operations, compliance, and commercial teams.
• Represent the API portfolio in strategic product and technology discussions.

Candidate Profile

• 6+ years of experience in product management within fintech, banking, payments, SaaS, or technology.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, event-driven architecture, authentication, and integration patterns.
• Experience managing products used by developers, partners, or technology teams.
• Ability to understand technical architecture without needing to be the primary developer.
• Strong analytical and prioritisation skills.
• Experience working within Agile product-development environments.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills.

Product Environment

You may work across API gateways, REST services, event streams, microservices, developer portals, authentication systems, cloud infrastructure, observability platforms, and financial-service integrations.
