Role Summary

The Senior Financial Technology Integration Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and implementing integrations between financial platforms, banking systems, payment services, and third-party technology providers. The position requires a strong understanding of financial systems, API connectivity, data exchange processes, and integration testing.

The successful candidate will help ensure that financial technology products communicate effectively, maintain data accuracy, and deliver consistent performance across interconnected systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain integrations between fintech platforms, payment gateways, banking infrastructure, and external service providers.

• Coordinate API integration projects, ensuring reliable communication between internal applications and third-party financial systems.

• Analyse technical integration requirements and translate business needs into practical implementation specifications.

• Monitor integration performance, investigate connectivity issues, and coordinate the resolution of technical incidents.

• Work closely with software engineering, product, compliance, and operations teams to support successful platform integrations.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation covering integration workflows, API configurations, data structures, and system dependencies.

• Conduct integration testing, validate transaction data, and identify inconsistencies before production deployment.

• Support the implementation of secure data exchange procedures and appropriate access controls.

• Review existing integration processes and recommend improvements to reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Participate in technical reviews and contribute to the continuous development of the organisation’s fintech infrastructure.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Financial Technology, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrable experience in fintech integrations, financial systems implementation, or enterprise application connectivity.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, authentication protocols, and data exchange mechanisms.

• Familiarity with payment processing systems, digital banking platforms, or financial service applications.

• Knowledge of SQL, database structures, and data validation techniques.

• Experience troubleshooting technical integration issues and coordinating implementation activities.

• Understanding of information security principles and financial data protection requirements.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with geographically distributed teams.

• Professional proficiency in English.
