Position Overview

A dynamic financial technology operation is seeking a Payments Manager to oversee the strategic and operational performance of modern payment services. The role will focus on payment processing, transaction performance, payment partnerships, operational controls, and continuous improvement of the customer payment experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day performance of digital payment operations and transaction workflows.
• Develop initiatives to improve payment authorization, settlement efficiency, transaction success rates, and operational reliability.
• Monitor payment metrics, investigate processing issues, and coordinate timely resolution of incidents.
• Work with technology teams to improve payment APIs, integrations, reconciliation processes, and transaction monitoring.
• Coordinate relationships with payment service providers, banking partners, and technology vendors.
• Establish operational procedures for payment exceptions, refunds, chargebacks, and reconciliation.
• Analyze payment performance data and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Support the launch and optimization of new payment methods and financial products.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, finance, customer operations, and product teams.
• Maintain appropriate operational documentation, controls, and performance reporting.

Candidate Profile

• Strong understanding of payment processing and digital financial services.
• Excellent organizational and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with technical teams and financial-service providers.
• Strong attention to transaction accuracy, operational controls, and customer experience.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Technology, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in payments, fintech, banking, financial operations, or a related environment.
• Familiarity with payment gateways, acquiring, issuing, settlement, reconciliation, and transaction processing.
• Experience working with APIs or payment technology is an advantage.
