A complex engineering opportunity for an experienced developer responsible for building the cloud-native foundation supporting scalable fintech products and financial workloads.

The Opportunity

You will develop core platform services that enable fintech applications to operate reliably across distributed cloud infrastructure, with particular emphasis on scalability, resilience, automation, and engineering efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop reusable platform services supporting multiple fintech applications.
• Build distributed backend systems for financial workloads requiring high availability and predictable performance.
• Develop internal APIs, service-discovery mechanisms, configuration systems, and platform tooling.
• Engineer asynchronous processing infrastructure for financial events and background workloads.
• Implement fault-tolerant architectures using queues, retries, circuit breakers, health checks, and automated failover.
• Develop deployment automation and engineering tooling for reliable software releases.
• Optimize cloud resources, containerized workloads, databases, and application performance.
• Establish platform-wide observability, including centralized logging, metrics, tracing, and operational dashboards.
• Develop automated resilience and performance testing for critical services.
• Work with engineering teams to define architectural standards and improve development practices.
• Lead complex technical investigations and contribute to long-term platform modernization.

Technical Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with significant backend or platform-development responsibility.
• Advanced knowledge of Go, Java, Kotlin, Python, or C#.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, message queues, and API design.
• Experience designing highly available production systems.
• Strong knowledge of performance engineering, observability, testing, and reliability engineering.
• Fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated-technology experience is a strong advantage.
