Executive Opportunity

A growing financial technology organisation in Estonia is seeking an experienced Fintech Operations Director to provide strategic leadership across digital financial operations, service delivery, process optimisation, and operational governance.

This is a senior leadership position for a professional who understands how fintech businesses operate at scale and can build efficient processes without compromising customer experience, regulatory discipline, or operational resilience.

Strategic Mandate

The Operations Director will establish an operating environment capable of supporting continued product expansion and increasing transaction volumes.

Key areas of ownership include:

• Develop and execute the operational strategy for digital financial services.
• Lead operational teams across customer operations, transaction support, service delivery, and process management.
• Establish scalable workflows for onboarding, account servicing, payments, transaction handling, and operational support.
• Develop performance frameworks covering productivity, service quality, turnaround times, operational incidents, and customer outcomes.
• Identify process inefficiencies and introduce automation where commercially and operationally appropriate.
• Work with technology leadership to improve internal platforms and operational tooling.
• Partner with compliance, risk, finance, and security functions on operational controls.
• Establish business-continuity and operational-resilience practices.
• Manage strategic relationships with selected banking, payment, technology, and service partners.
• Prepare operational performance reports and strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
• Build a culture centred on accountability, continuous improvement, and measurable service quality.

Leadership Profile

The successful candidate will bring:

• 8+ years of experience in fintech, banking, payments, financial services, or technology-enabled operations.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary operational teams.
• Strong understanding of digital financial products and transaction-based businesses.
• Experience designing scalable operating models and performance frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of process optimisation, automation, operational controls, and service management.
• Excellent commercial judgement and strategic planning capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage executives, technical teams, regulators, and external partners.
• Professional fluency in English; additional European-language skills are beneficial.
