A technology-driven financial environment is looking for a Fintech Data Quality Specialist to ensure that critical financial, customer, payment, and operational data remains accurate, consistent, complete, and usable.

This is a specialist role suited to someone who enjoys investigating discrepancies, establishing data-quality controls, and working across technology and financial operations.

The Role

You will help protect the integrity of data that supports financial products and operational processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitor data-quality indicators across financial and operational systems.
• Investigate discrepancies involving transactions, customer records, balances, and payment information.
• Develop and maintain data-validation rules.
• Identify duplicate, incomplete, inconsistent, or anomalous records.
• Perform reconciliation between internal systems and external financial providers.
• Use SQL to investigate complex data issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify the technical causes of data-quality problems.
• Support data-migration and system-integration activities.
• Document data-quality incidents, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Develop recurring reports covering data accuracy and operational exceptions.
• Participate in testing new financial-product functionality.
• Recommend improvements to data controls and operational processes.

Candidate Profile

• 3+ years of experience in data quality, data analysis, financial operations, payments, banking technology, or a comparable environment.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Excellent analytical and investigative capabilities.
• Experience working with structured financial or customer data.
• Strong Excel or equivalent spreadsheet skills.
• Understanding of databases, APIs, and data-integrations.
• Experience with reconciliation processes is highly valuable.
• Familiarity with Python or another scripting language is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong English communication skills.
