Build the Operational Intelligence Behind Modern Payments

A growing fintech operation in Estonia is looking for a Digital Payments Operations Analyst to support the performance, accuracy, and reliability of payment processes across a technology-driven financial environment.

Rather than focusing solely on routine administration, this role combines operational analysis, payment investigation, process improvement, data interpretation, and cross-functional coordination. You will help ensure that payment activity moves efficiently through the relevant systems while identifying exceptions, recurring operational issues, and opportunities to improve the customer and business experience.

Your Role

You will become an important analytical point within the payments operation, working with transaction information and operational teams to understand what is happening across payment workflows.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitor payment flows and operational activity across digital financial platforms.
• Investigate failed, delayed, rejected, duplicated, or otherwise exceptional transactions.
• Analyze transaction and operational data to identify recurring problems.
• Work with technical teams when payment issues require system-level investigation.
• Coordinate with compliance and operations teams on transaction-related reviews.
• Maintain accurate records of payment incidents and resolutions.
• Identify inefficiencies in existing payment processes and propose improvements.
• Support reconciliation activities and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with payment-provider and banking-partner operational processes.
• Review transaction trends and operational performance indicators.
• Produce regular operational reports and analytical summaries.
• Help document payment procedures, escalation paths, and troubleshooting processes.
• Support testing of new payment features and operational changes.
• Participate in process-improvement projects involving automation and digital workflows.
• Maintain a strong focus on transaction accuracy, data integrity, and customer impact.

What We Are Looking For

You may come from payments, banking operations, fintech, e-commerce payments, financial technology, transaction processing, or another data-driven operational environment.

The successful candidate should have:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good understanding of payment processes and transaction lifecycles.
• Experience working with operational or financial data.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate issues methodically rather than relying on assumptions.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate technical or operational issues clearly.
• Confidence working with spreadsheets, databases, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.
• Ability to work effectively with technology, finance, compliance, and customer operations teams.
• A proactive approach to identifying process improvements.

Valuable Additional Experience

Experience with SEPA payments, card processing, digital wallets, bank transfers, payment gateways, merchant acquiring, reconciliation, payment APIs, or transaction-monitoring environments would be advantageous.

Knowledge of European payment operations and familiarity with regulated financial services would also strengthen your profile.
