Position Overview

We are looking for a technically minded Banking Technology & Payments Analyst to support the analysis, monitoring, and continuous improvement of banking technology and payment infrastructure.

The role is suited to an analytical professional who understands financial transactions and enjoys working with technology, data, systems, and operational processes. You will help ensure that digital banking and payment systems operate reliably while supporting the introduction of new financial products and technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Systems & Transaction Analysis

• Monitor banking and payment-system activity.
• Analyse transaction flows and identify processing abnormalities.
• Investigate discrepancies between banking, payment, and internal systems.
• Support incident analysis and technical troubleshooting.
• Monitor system-generated operational reports and exception queues.

Data & Reporting

• Analyse transaction and operational datasets.
• Produce recurring reports covering payment activity, transaction volumes, exceptions, and system performance.
• Validate data accuracy across financial systems.
• Identify patterns that may indicate operational inefficiencies or system issues.
• Support development of dashboards and analytical tools.

Technology & Integration

• Work with developers and technical teams on banking-system enhancements.
• Support API and payment-system testing.
• Participate in system integration and user acceptance testing.
• Document technical and functional requirements.
• Assist with release validation and post-deployment monitoring.
• Support investigations involving payment gateways, banking platforms, and third-party financial services.

Technical & Professional Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in banking technology, fintech, payments, financial systems, data analysis, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of banking and payment processes.
• Experience working with financial or transaction-processing systems.
• SQL and data-analysis experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with Excel and reporting/BI tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional English proficiency.
