Position Overview

We are looking for a highly analytical Fintech Business Analyst to support the transformation of financial operations and technology-enabled payment processes in Estonia.

The position is suited to a professional who enjoys understanding how financial systems operate, identifying inefficiencies, and converting complex business requirements into practical technology solutions.

Core Responsibilities

Business & Process Analysis

• Examine existing financial and operational processes.
• Identify bottlenecks, duplication, manual activities, and process risks.
• Design improved workflows and operating procedures.
• Document current-state and future-state processes.
• Support automation and digital transformation initiatives.

Payments & Financial Technology

• Analyse payment journeys, transaction workflows, settlement processes, and account operations.
• Translate payment-business requirements into structured functional specifications.
• Work with technical teams on integrations, APIs, transaction flows, and system dependencies.
• Support analysis of payment exceptions, failed transactions, reconciliation issues, and operational discrepancies.

Requirements Engineering

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and structured requirement workshops.
• Create business requirements and functional specifications.
• Develop user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Identify dependencies, assumptions, constraints, and business risks.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, development, and testing.

Testing & Implementation

• Support UAT planning and execution.
• Validate new functionality against documented requirements.
• Investigate defects and clarify business expectations with development teams.
• Support implementation activities and post-launch reviews.

Required Experience

• 3–5 years of Business Analysis experience.
• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, financial services, or technology-led business transformation.
• Strong knowledge of process modelling and requirements analysis.
• Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, databases, and transaction workflows.
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery frameworks.
• Strong documentation and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requirements and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal English.
