An analytical fintech role focused on transforming financial and transactional data into reliable information for business and technology teams. The position combines data analysis, financial systems knowledge, reporting, and data-quality management within a modern digital finance environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Analyse transactional, customer, payment, and operational datasets generated by fintech platforms.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that support business and operational decision-making.
• Identify trends, anomalies, inconsistencies, and data-quality issues within financial datasets.
• Work with product, engineering, finance, compliance, and operations teams to define accurate data requirements.
• Assist in developing data models and reporting structures for digital financial products.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation across multiple financial systems.
• Support the creation of automated reporting processes and recurring analytical workflows.
• Translate complex financial data into clear and actionable business insights.
• Monitor data pipelines and escalate issues affecting the accuracy or availability of important financial information.
• Contribute to improvements in data governance, documentation, and information-management practices.
• Support analysis related to payments, customer activity, transaction performance, and fintech product usage.
• Participate in technology projects where reliable financial data is required for product development or operational decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree or equivalent experience in Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
• Practical experience working with financial, transactional, or business datasets.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with analytical or reporting tools.
• Understanding of databases, data structures, and data-quality principles.
• Familiarity with Python or another analytical programming language is an advantage.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or comparable business-intelligence platforms is beneficial.
• Strong numerical reasoning and analytical thinking.
• Excellent attention to detail when working with financial information.
• Ability to explain technical or analytical findings clearly to different stakeholders.
• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or financial technology environments is preferred.
