Role Summary

The Digital Asset Custody Operations Specialist will support the daily operational activities associated with digital asset custody services. The role focuses on transaction processing, asset reconciliation, custody account administration, operational monitoring and the accurate maintenance of digital asset records.

The successful candidate will help ensure that custody-related processes are completed in accordance with established operational procedures, internal controls and applicable compliance requirements. This position requires a careful and structured approach to handling financial records, reviewing blockchain transaction information and coordinating operational activities across different teams.

Working closely with custody technology, finance, security and compliance professionals, the specialist will contribute to the reliability and efficiency of digital asset operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operational activities relating to digital asset custody and account administration.

• Monitor incoming and outgoing digital asset transactions and verify that processing records are accurately maintained.

• Perform routine reconciliation of digital asset balances against internal records and relevant blockchain transaction information.

• Investigate transaction discrepancies, delayed transfers and operational exceptions.

• Maintain accurate records of custody activities, account movements and transaction confirmations.

• Coordinate with technical teams when transaction processing or wallet infrastructure issues require investigation.

• Follow established procedures for transaction verification, approval workflows and operational controls.

• Assist with wallet administration processes and custody account maintenance in accordance with assigned access permissions.

• Support the preparation of operational reports covering transaction activity, reconciliation status and outstanding exceptions.

• Work with compliance teams to provide relevant operational information for internal reviews and regulatory processes.

• Identify opportunities to improve custody procedures, reconciliation methods and operational documentation.

• Maintain awareness of blockchain network developments that may affect transaction processing or custody operations.

• Escalate unusual activity, security concerns and unresolved operational incidents through appropriate internal channels.

• Contribute to operational testing and process improvement initiatives involving digital asset infrastructure.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Experience in financial operations, digital asset administration, cryptocurrency operations, banking or payment processing.

• Understanding of blockchain transactions, digital asset transfers, wallet structures and transaction confirmations.

• Familiarity with financial reconciliation, transaction records and operational control procedures.

• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Good knowledge of spreadsheets and financial reporting tools.

• Understanding of operational security, access controls and confidential information management.

• Ability to investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate operational documentation.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with remote teams.

• Previous experience in institutional digital asset custody or cryptocurrency operations is an advantage.
