Design and build high-performance payment infrastructure supporting real-time transactions, merchant acquiring, digital wallets, and cross-border payment flows. You will work on distributed systems where reliability, security, transaction integrity, and scalability are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop resilient backend services for payment initiation, authorization, settlement, refunds, and reconciliation.
• Build event-driven services using Java/Kotlin, Go, or equivalent technologies.
• Design secure REST and gRPC APIs for internal and external financial services.
• Implement idempotency, transaction consistency, retry mechanisms, and fault-tolerant processing.
• Integrate banking APIs, payment gateways, card processors, and financial messaging systems.
• Optimize PostgreSQL and distributed data stores for high-volume transaction workloads.
• Develop automated monitoring, tracing, alerting, and operational tooling.
• Participate in architecture reviews and establish engineering standards for production-grade fintech systems.
• Work closely with security, compliance, product, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably within fintech, banking, payments, or another highly regulated environment.
• Strong experience with Java/Kotlin, Go, Python, or comparable backend technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong PostgreSQL/database design and performance-tuning skills.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of authentication, encryption, secure API design, and financial transaction processing.
• Strong testing, debugging, and production incident-management capabilities.
