We are seeking a Principal Payment Security Engineer to lead the security architecture and engineering of high-value payment platforms, transaction services, and financial APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design security architectures for payment processing, transaction orchestration, digital wallets, and financial APIs.
• Engineer controls for payment authorization, transaction integrity, identity verification, and privileged access.
• Develop real-time security mechanisms for detecting anomalous payment behavior and sophisticated transaction attacks.
• Conduct threat modeling across payment infrastructure, APIs, cloud environments, and third-party integrations.
• Establish security requirements for microservices, event-driven systems, databases, and financial-data pipelines.
• Lead security reviews of new payment products and major platform releases.
• Collaborate with fraud, compliance, infrastructure, and engineering teams to integrate security controls without compromising transaction performance.
• Drive vulnerability management, security testing, incident response readiness, and architectural improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, payment security, fintech engineering, or financial infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of application security, API security, cloud security, cryptography, and identity management.
• Experience securing distributed financial systems and high-volume transaction environments.
• Strong understanding of threat modeling, penetration testing, secure software development, and security monitoring.
• Excellent architecture, communication, and technical leadership skills.
