Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Payments Automation Architect to design intelligent, highly automated payment-processing solutions for a modern fintech environment. The role focuses on reducing manual operations, improving transaction efficiency, and building resilient automation across payment initiation, reconciliation, settlement, and exception management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design automation architecture for end-to-end payment workflows.
- Develop solutions for automated reconciliation, settlement, transaction matching, and exception handling.
- Integrate payment processors, banking APIs, accounting platforms, and internal financial systems.
- Establish event-driven workflows for real-time transaction processing.
- Identify operational processes suitable for intelligent automation.
- Define architecture standards for reliability, scalability, security, and observability.
- Work with engineering, finance, operations, risk, and compliance teams.
- Lead technical assessments of emerging automation and financial-infrastructure technologies.
- Monitor system performance and continuously improve payment-processing efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in fintech, payments, banking technology, or software architecture.
- Strong knowledge of payment processing, reconciliation, settlement, and financial APIs.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud platforms, and automation.
- Strong programming or scripting experience with technologies such as Java, Python, Go, or similar.
- Excellent systems-design and technical leadership capabilities.
