Role Overview
The Quantitative Researcher will design, test, and improve mathematical and statistical models used to identify patterns and opportunities within foreign-exchange markets. The role combines financial-market expertise with programming, statistical modelling, and data-driven research.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop quantitative models for FX market forecasting and signal generation.
• Analyze large historical datasets covering prices, volumes, volatility, and macroeconomic indicators.
• Research statistical relationships between currencies and broader financial markets.
• Back-test systematic trading strategies under realistic market assumptions.
• Develop predictive indicators and factor-based currency models.
• Evaluate model robustness, sensitivity, drawdowns, and risk-adjusted returns.
• Work with technology teams to translate research models into production systems.
• Monitor live strategy performance and investigate model deterioration.
• Apply statistical and machine-learning techniques where appropriate.
• Maintain comprehensive research documentation and model-development records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in quantitative finance, systematic trading, financial modelling, or market research.
• Strong Python programming and statistical-analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of SQL, time-series analysis, machine learning, and financial derivatives is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated understanding of FX market structure and quantitative trading concepts.
