Test FX forecasting methods using appropriate historical validation and out-of-sample evaluation.
-
Build reproducible research workflows using Python, R, or comparable analytical technologies.
-
Analyse model performance using suitable statistical metrics and document limitations, assumptions, and potential sources of bias.
-
Investigate relationships between currency pairs, interest-rate differentials, commodity prices, and economic indicators.
-
Produce charts, research summaries, and quantitative reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-
Maintain version-controlled research code and reliable data-processing procedures.
-
Collaborate with research, technology, and risk teams to improve analytical tools and research quality.
Requirements and Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Finance, or another quantitative field.
-
Experience in quantitative research, financial data analysis, FX analytics, or statistical modelling.
-
Strong Python or R skills, including experience with data-analysis libraries and time-series techniques.
-
Understanding of regression analysis, forecasting, statistical testing, and model validation.
-
Familiarity with foreign exchange markets, exchange-rate drivers, and financial time-series data.
-
Experience with SQL, data visualisation, or version-control systems is an advantage.
-
Ability to explain quantitative findings clearly and distinguish statistical relationships from causal conclusions.
-
Strong attention to data quality, analytical reproducibility, and research documentation.
Benefits
-
Fully remote working arrangement within Estonia.
-
Opportunity to apply quantitative methods to international currency markets.
-
Professional development in financial modelling, statistical research, and FX analytics.
