Role Summary

The Remote Product Manager — Platform Integrations & Technical Product Delivery will manage the roadmap and delivery priorities for platform capabilities, system integrations, APIs, and related technical product features. The position focuses on turning business and integration requirements into clearly defined deliverables that engineering teams can implement, test, deploy, and maintain.

The successful candidate will gather requirements from internal users, technical teams, partners, and business stakeholders; assess integration needs; define product scope; and maintain a prioritised backlog. They will coordinate delivery across teams, manage dependencies, support release planning, and ensure that technical product improvements meet functional and operational expectations.

The role also involves improving platform reliability and usability, supporting the introduction of new integrations, and evaluating how technical capabilities contribute to broader product objectives. The ideal candidate is organised, technically curious, comfortable discussing trade-offs, and capable of connecting detailed engineering work with practical business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product roadmap for platform capabilities, integrations, APIs, and supporting technical services.
• Gather and document integration requirements from internal teams, external partners, technical stakeholders, and business users.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, technical product specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery objectives.
• Work with software engineers and solution architects to understand system architecture, integration dependencies, implementation options, and technical constraints.
• Coordinate the development of API-based integrations and other system-to-system connections, ensuring that requirements are clear and agreed upon.
• Support product planning for authentication, data exchange, event handling, error responses, service availability, and other relevant integration behaviours.
• Maintain and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring that high-impact work, technical dependencies, defects, and operational improvements receive appropriate attention.
• Evaluate requests for new integrations against customer value, strategic fit, implementation effort, reliability requirements, and ongoing maintenance considerations.
• Coordinate technical discovery sessions to clarify data formats, interface expectations, access requirements, integration limitations, and dependencies between systems.
• Work with engineering teams to assess the impact of proposed changes on existing integrations, downstream consumers, and dependent product features.
• Collaborate with QA specialists to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, integration checks, and release validation requirements.
• Support the planning and delivery of platform releases, coordinating timelines, dependencies, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Work with security and compliance stakeholders to incorporate appropriate access controls, data protection, auditability, and regulatory considerations into product requirements.
• Monitor platform performance and operational feedback to identify recurring integration failures, usability problems, reliability risks, or gaps in existing capabilities.
• Coordinate prioritisation of technical improvements that reduce recurring incidents, simplify integration maintenance, and improve the consistency of platform behaviour.
• Maintain integration documentation, product specifications, dependency records, release notes, and decision logs.
• Work with customer-facing or partner-facing teams to understand implementation challenges and improve the clarity of technical onboarding materials.
• Establish success measures for platform initiatives, such as integration completion time, adoption, reliability, error rates, support demand, or time required to onboard new partners.
• Evaluate post-release outcomes and coordinate follow-up work when delivered capabilities do not meet agreed functional or operational expectations.
• Communicate roadmap priorities, delivery risks, scope changes, and dependencies clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Help resolve conflicting requirements by clarifying business objectives, assessing trade-offs, and facilitating decisions among the relevant teams.
• Support the development of reusable platform capabilities that reduce duplication and make future integrations easier to deliver.
• Participate in product reviews, technical planning, incident follow-ups, and continuous improvement discussions where product decisions or priorities are required.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform documentation, developer experience, integration workflows, and cross-team delivery processes.
• Ensure that technical product decisions remain aligned with the broader product strategy while accommodating necessary reliability, maintainability, and security considerations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience in product management, technical product management, platform product ownership, integration delivery, or a closely related role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage product roadmaps, prioritise backlogs, and coordinate delivery across technical and business teams.
• Working understanding of APIs, RESTful services, data exchange formats such as JSON, and common system integration concepts.
• Ability to understand technical documentation and participate constructively in discussions with software engineers and solution architects.
• Experience gathering requirements, documenting system behaviours, defining acceptance criteria, and managing dependencies.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles, Agile delivery methods, testing practices, and release management.
• Understanding of integration testing, error handling, authentication concepts, service reliability, and the potential impact of changes on downstream systems.
• Ability to assess technical proposals in terms of business value, delivery complexity, operational impact, and long-term maintenance.
• Experience using product management and delivery tools such as Jira, Linear, Confluence, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs in accessible language.
• Good analytical and organisational skills, including the ability to track multiple integrations, delivery milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Ability to maintain clear documentation and ensure that product requirements are sufficiently detailed for engineering and QA teams.
• Awareness of security, privacy, data governance, and compliance considerations affecting technical platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices, developer platforms, webhooks, event-driven systems, or API management solutions is advantageous.
• Experience working with B2B products, enterprise software, payment platforms, data services, or other integration-heavy products is beneficial.
• A degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business technology, or a related field is advantageous; equivalent professional experience is also valued.
• Professional proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Estonian is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and maintain effective communication with a distributed team in a fully remote environment.
