Role Summary

The Product Engineer will design, build, and maintain features across an FX trading platform, translating product requirements into reliable software solutions. The role combines frontend and backend development with practical problem-solving to improve trading workflows, platform usability, and the quality of financial data presented to users.

The successful candidate will work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver features that meet user needs while maintaining high standards of performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user-facing features for FX trading and account-management applications.

• Build backend services and APIs supporting pricing displays, order workflows, account information, and transaction history.

• Translate product specifications and user feedback into maintainable technical implementations.

• Collaborate with designers to deliver intuitive interfaces for complex financial workflows.

• Integrate frontend components with backend services and external financial APIs.

• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain software quality.

• Investigate and resolve defects affecting platform functionality, responsiveness, or data consistency.

• Improve application performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and technical documentation.

• Work with product and QA teams to validate releases and refine features based on feedback.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Professional experience in product engineering, full-stack development, or application software development.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as React.

• Experience developing backend services using Node.js, Python, Java, or a comparable technology.

• Understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, authentication, and application security.

• Familiarity with automated testing, Git, and CI/CD workflows.

• Ability to interpret product requirements and deliver maintainable, user-focused solutions.

• Knowledge of foreign exchange trading workflows or financial applications is an advantage.

• Strong communication, debugging, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
