Role Summary

The Product Engineer will develop product features related to FX pricing displays, currency conversion workflows, order-entry interfaces, and trade-status visibility. The role requires strong software engineering skills and the ability to work with financial data while ensuring that user interactions and system responses remain clear, consistent, and dependable.

The successful candidate will collaborate with product, trading technology, and QA teams to translate market and workflow requirements into practical platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interfaces and services for currency-pair selection, FX price displays, and conversion workflows.

• Implement order-entry and trade-management features in line with approved product specifications.

• Integrate pricing APIs and market-data services into platform components.

• Ensure that displayed prices, timestamps, currency formats, and transaction states are handled consistently.

• Build validation and error-handling mechanisms for invalid requests, stale data, and unsuccessful transactions.

• Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs supporting order status, execution information, and transaction records.

• Develop automated tests covering critical pricing and trading-related user journeys.

• Investigate discrepancies between expected interface behaviour and backend responses.

• Improve application responsiveness and reliability under changing data-update conditions.

• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and release validation.

• Document implementation decisions and contribute to ongoing product improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience developing interactive web applications or financial product software.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript and experience with React or a comparable framework.

• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous data updates.

• Familiarity with backend development, SQL databases, and automated testing.

• Understanding of financial data representation, currency precision, timestamps, and transaction-state management.

• Knowledge of FX pricing, order workflows, or electronic trading systems is an advantage.

• Awareness of application security, error handling, and performance optimisation.

• Strong analytical reasoning and cross-functional communication skills.
