We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Fintech Solutions Architect to define and evolve the technology architecture supporting sophisticated digital financial products across European markets.

This is a senior architecture position for a professional who can move comfortably between business strategy, financial technology, software engineering, cloud infrastructure, security, and regulatory requirements. You will translate complex business objectives into resilient technology architectures capable of supporting high-volume financial operations.

What You Will Own

• Define end-to-end architecture for digital banking, payments, and financial platforms.
• Establish architectural standards across APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead architecture decisions for highly available and transaction-intensive platforms.
• Work with engineering teams to translate architectural principles into production-ready solutions.
• Evaluate technology platforms, vendors, and integration approaches.
• Design secure integrations with banking, payment, identity, and third-party financial systems.
• Identify architectural risks and develop long-term remediation strategies.
• Support platform modernisation and migration from legacy environments.
• Establish principles for scalability, resilience, observability, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with product, security, compliance, data, and executive teams.

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in software architecture, solutions architecture, banking technology, or fintech.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, messaging platforms, databases, and integration architecture.
• Knowledge of payment processing or digital financial infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of security, availability, disaster recovery, and system resilience.
• Ability to communicate complex architecture decisions clearly to technical and business audiences.
• Experience working within international or European technology environments.
