We are seeking an experienced Fintech Solutions Architect to design and guide the technology solutions behind sophisticated digital financial products in Estonia.

This is a senior architecture position for a technology professional who can translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable, and commercially practical technical solutions. You will work across engineering, product, security, data, operations, and compliance to establish architectures capable of supporting long-term growth.

The Role

You will own solution architecture across selected fintech initiatives, from early discovery and technical assessment through implementation and production optimisation. Your work will span financial APIs, payment services, customer platforms, data flows, cloud infrastructure, and third-party integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions for fintech and digital-finance initiatives.
• Translate business and product requirements into robust technical architectures.
• Define service boundaries, integration patterns, APIs, data flows, and infrastructure requirements.
• Evaluate technology options and produce architecture recommendations.
• Work closely with engineering teams during implementation.
• Establish technical standards for security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Design integrations with banking, payment, identity, and external financial-service providers.
• Review existing platforms and identify opportunities for modernisation.
• Assess architectural risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams on technology controls.
• Support technical discovery, estimates, roadmaps, and implementation planning.
• Produce clear architecture documentation and technical decision records.

Ideal Candidate

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technology consulting.
• Strong experience with fintech, payments, banking, or financial technology.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and API-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, databases, and event-driven systems.
• Strong understanding of security, identity, data protection, and system resilience.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong architectural judgement and structured problem-solving skills.
• Professional English communication skills.
