The Opportunity

A growing fintech environment in Estonia is seeking a Payments Product Analyst to help translate customer needs, transaction data, and business requirements into practical improvements across digital payment products.

This is a hands-on analytical position for a professional who enjoys working with product teams, technology specialists, payment operations, and business stakeholders to improve the performance and usability of financial products.

Responsibilities

• Analyse payment-product performance, transaction trends, customer behaviour, and operational data.
• Translate business requirements into clear product and functional specifications.
• Support product discovery, requirements gathering, and feature development.
• Monitor payment journeys and identify friction points affecting customers.
• Work with developers and QA specialists during feature implementation and testing.
• Investigate payment failures, transaction anomalies, and recurring customer-impacting issues.
• Build reports and dashboards that support product and operational decisions.
• Assist with user acceptance testing and release validation.
• Research developments in European payments, digital banking, embedded finance, and financial technology.
• Maintain product documentation, workflows, process maps, and analytical reports.
• Support continuous optimisation of payment products based on measurable performance data.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in product analysis, payments, banking technology, business analysis, or fintech.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Understanding of payment processing, digital wallets, cards, bank transfers, or related financial infrastructure.
• Experience working with data analysis and reporting tools.
• Ability to convert complex requirements into clear documentation.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile product development environments.
• SQL or other data-querying experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of European payment practices and regulatory considerations is beneficial.
