Position Overview

An established financial services environment in Estonia is seeking an Institutional FX Trader to execute and manage foreign exchange transactions across major and emerging currency markets. The role is suited to a market-focused professional with strong understanding of institutional liquidity, execution quality, and macroeconomic drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute FX trades across spot, forward, swap, and other approved instruments.
• Monitor global currency markets, liquidity conditions, spreads, and market volatility.
• Analyse economic indicators, central-bank decisions, geopolitical developments, and market sentiment.
• Develop and maintain disciplined trading strategies aligned with defined risk parameters.
• Work closely with risk, treasury, operations, and technology teams to ensure efficient trade execution.
• Monitor open positions and respond appropriately to changing market conditions.
• Maintain accurate trading records and comply with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate execution performance and identify opportunities to improve trading efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in institutional FX trading, treasury, or a closely related financial-markets role.
• Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets and trading mechanics.
• Ability to interpret macroeconomic and market data effectively.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with electronic trading platforms, liquidity providers, and market-data systems.
• High level of discipline, accuracy, and risk awareness.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
