The Role

We are seeking an experienced FX Trading Operations Manager to oversee the operational infrastructure supporting foreign-exchange trading, settlement, reconciliation, liquidity, and post-trade processes.

This role is designed for a financial-markets professional who understands the complete trade lifecycle and can ensure that high-volume FX activity is processed accurately, efficiently, and within established operational and risk controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational processes supporting FX trading activities.
• Oversee trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and exception management.
• Coordinate with banks, brokers, liquidity providers, custodians, and external financial partners.
• Monitor settlement obligations, cash positions, and currency exposures.
• Investigate failed trades, breaks, discrepancies, and operational incidents.
• Develop and maintain robust procedures for trade processing and operational controls.
• Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Support implementation and integration of FX trading and post-trade technology.
• Work closely with trading, treasury, finance, risk, compliance, and technology teams.
• Strengthen business-continuity and operational-resilience procedures.
• Lead automation initiatives designed to reduce manual processing and operational risk.
• Prepare management reports covering trading operations, exceptions, settlement performance, and key operational risks.

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of experience in FX operations, trading operations, treasury, banking, brokerage, or financial markets.
• Strong understanding of the FX trade lifecycle.
• Experience with confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, liquidity processes, and operational controls.
• Familiarity with trading platforms, market connectivity, and financial messaging systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong understanding of operational risk and financial-market controls.
• Experience with process automation, SQL, Excel, or financial-operations technology is advantageous.
