Position Summary

We are looking for a highly capable FX Technology Architect to design and evolve the technology infrastructure supporting modern foreign-exchange trading and transaction platforms.

This is a technically demanding position for an architect who understands both enterprise software engineering and financial-market technology. You will define scalable architectures for pricing, order management, execution, liquidity connectivity, market-data processing, risk controls, and post-trade workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design resilient architectures for high-volume FX trading and transaction platforms.
• Develop technology strategies covering pricing engines, order management, execution, liquidity, and market-data services.
• Architect low-latency services capable of processing substantial volumes of real-time financial data.
• Integrate external liquidity providers, trading venues, banks, brokers, and financial-market data sources.
• Establish API, event-driven, microservices, and distributed-system architecture patterns.
• Ensure trading systems meet demanding requirements for availability, scalability, observability, and security.
• Collaborate with quantitative developers, FX traders, product managers, DevOps engineers, and risk specialists.
• Establish technical standards for cloud infrastructure, application security, data management, and deployment.
• Identify architectural bottlenecks and lead modernisation initiatives across legacy FX platforms.
• Support automated testing, continuous delivery, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.

Technical Environment
Strong experience with technologies such as Java, Kotlin, C#, Python, Go, Kafka, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and distributed systems is valuable. Experience with FIX Protocol, market-data systems, trading engines, or electronic FX execution platforms is particularly advantageous.

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of software engineering or technology architecture experience, preferably within financial markets or another high-performance technology environment.
• Demonstrated experience designing complex distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of financial-market architecture and real-time transaction processing.
• Experience leading architectural decisions across multiple engineering teams.
• Excellent understanding of security, reliability, scalability, and operational resilience.
• Strong technical communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to balance sophisticated technical requirements with practical business objectives.
