Position Overview

We are seeking a commercially minded FX Sales Trader to develop client relationships, identify foreign exchange trading opportunities, and facilitate currency transactions for corporate and professional clients. The successful candidate will combine sales expertise with a sound understanding of foreign exchange markets, pricing, liquidity, and trade execution.

Based in Estonia, this role requires a professional who can understand clients’ currency requirements, communicate market developments clearly, and coordinate with dealing and risk teams to deliver a reliable trading service. The ideal candidate will balance revenue generation with responsible client engagement, transparent pricing, and adherence to established trading controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, financial intermediaries, and professional FX market participants.

• Identify prospective clients and build a qualified pipeline through targeted outreach, referrals, networking, and business development activities.

• Understand clients’ currency conversion, international payment, and foreign exchange hedging requirements.

• Provide timely market updates, indicative pricing information, and relevant currency-market commentary within approved communication guidelines.

• Coordinate with the dealing desk to obtain competitive pricing and facilitate the execution of authorised FX transactions.

• Manage the sales process from initial contact and needs assessment through onboarding, transaction support, and ongoing relationship management.

• Monitor currency-market developments and communicate relevant changes to clients without making misleading claims about potential returns.

• Maintain accurate client records, sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and transaction-related documentation.

• Work with compliance and onboarding teams to support customer due diligence and applicable anti-money-laundering requirements.

• Identify opportunities to strengthen client retention, improve service quality, and expand legitimate business relationships.

• Ensure all sales activities comply with internal policies and applicable Estonian and European Union financial-services requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in FX sales, financial-services business development, currency dealing, treasury services, or a related commercial role.

• Good understanding of foreign exchange markets, currency pairs, exchange-rate movements, spreads, and transaction execution.

• Proven ability to develop client relationships, negotiate commercially, and manage a sales pipeline.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial-market information clearly.

• Familiarity with CRM platforms, sales reporting tools, and financial-market information systems.

• Strong numerical reasoning, commercial awareness, and attention to detail.

• Professional integrity and an understanding of client confidentiality, responsible selling, and financial-services compliance.

• Fluency in English is required; Estonian and other European languages are advantageous.

Performance Expectations

Success in this position will be measured by the quality of client relationships, new-business development, client retention, sales conversion, service standards, and adherence to compliance requirements. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to pursue commercial targets without compromising client interests or operational controls.
