FX Operations Specialist

Support the day-to-day infrastructure that keeps a modern foreign exchange operation accurate, efficient, and responsive. This role focuses on trade administration, transaction processing, reconciliation, documentation, and operational controls across the FX lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work closely with trading, compliance, finance, technology, and client-facing teams to ensure foreign exchange transactions are processed correctly and efficiently. Core Responsibilities

• Process and monitor foreign exchange transactions throughout their operational lifecycle.
• Verify trade details, settlement instructions, currencies, amounts, and supporting documentation.
• Perform daily reconciliation of FX transactions, balances, and operational records.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution with relevant teams.
• Support trade confirmations, settlements, and transaction reporting.
• Maintain accurate operational records in accordance with internal procedures.
• Assist with onboarding and ongoing documentation for FX-related accounts.
• Coordinate with compliance teams on transaction-related checks and documentation.
• Monitor operational workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete and accurate records.
• Escalate operational risks, exceptions, and unusual transaction issues appropriately.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, banking, brokerage, payments, treasury, or FX operations.
• Understanding of foreign exchange transactions and settlement processes.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent attention to numerical accuracy and detail.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, financial systems, and transaction databases.
• Knowledge of AML/KYC and financial-services controls is beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
