A growing financial technology environment is seeking a commercially astute Fintech Strategy Consultant to support strategic initiatives spanning digital finance, payments, financial products, technology, and business transformation.

This role is suited to a consultant who can move comfortably between high-level strategic analysis and practical execution. You will work with senior stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, develop business cases, assess market dynamics, and translate strategic priorities into actionable programmes.

The Role

You will analyse complex business questions and provide structured recommendations that support product expansion, operational improvement, technology investment, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct strategic analysis across fintech, payments, digital banking, and financial-services markets.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, product concepts, partnerships, and expansion initiatives.
• Develop business cases, financial models, market assessments, and strategic presentations.
• Analyse customer segments, competitors, industry trends, and emerging financial technologies.
• Support senior leadership in defining strategic priorities and implementation roadmaps.
• Assess the commercial and operational implications of new financial products.
• Work with product, technology, finance, risk, compliance, and operations teams on strategic initiatives.
• Identify inefficiencies within existing operating models and develop improvement recommendations.
• Support technology and digital-transformation programmes through structured analysis.
• Develop executive-level reports that clearly communicate findings, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
• Track strategic initiatives and assess progress against agreed objectives.
• Research emerging areas including embedded finance, digital payments, financial infrastructure, automation, and data-driven financial services.
• Assist with partnership and investment assessments where relevant.
• Convert complex research into practical recommendations that can be implemented by operational teams.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in strategy consulting, fintech, banking, payments, financial services, or technology.
• Strong analytical and commercial reasoning.
• Experience developing business cases and strategic recommendations.
• Excellent financial modelling and data-analysis capability.
• Strong understanding of digital financial products and technology trends.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and develop logical solutions.
• Excellent presentation and executive-communication skills.
• Strong project-management and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple functions.
