Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Fintech Solutions Architect to design scalable technology solutions across digital banking, payment processing, financial APIs, and transaction platforms.

The successful candidate will translate complex business and regulatory requirements into robust technical architectures while working closely with engineering, product, security, data, and operations teams. The position requires strong architectural judgement and practical experience delivering technology within financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures for digital financial products and platforms.
• Define scalable solutions for payment processing, account services, transaction management, and financial integrations.
• Establish technical standards for APIs, microservices, databases, messaging, and cloud infrastructure.
• Evaluate technology choices against security, scalability, performance, and maintainability requirements.
• Design integrations with banks, payment service providers, identity platforms, and external financial systems.
• Produce architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation guidelines.
• Identify architectural risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams during implementation and technical reviews.
• Support security architecture and data-protection requirements for sensitive financial systems.
• Assess existing platforms and recommend practical modernisation opportunities.
• Contribute to technology standards, engineering principles, and platform governance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering or solution architecture experience.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud architecture.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent knowledge of databases, messaging platforms, containers, and integration patterns.
• Practical understanding of payment systems, digital banking, or other fintech environments.
• Strong knowledge of authentication, authorisation, encryption, and secure architecture.
• Excellent technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
