Description

A technology-driven financial services environment is seeking a Fintech QA Automation Lead to establish a high-performance quality engineering function across digital financial products.

This role goes beyond traditional testing. You will help engineer quality into the development lifecycle, ensuring that financial applications remain reliable, secure, and predictable as products and transaction volumes grow.

The Role

You will lead automated testing strategy across APIs, backend services, web applications, integrations, and financial transaction workflows.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, DevOps engineers, security specialists, and business stakeholders to identify risks early and create scalable quality-assurance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and own the automated testing strategy for fintech applications.
  • Build reliable automated test suites for APIs and distributed services.
  • Develop functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
  • Test critical financial workflows including payments, account operations, and transaction processing.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish quality gates for software releases.
  • Identify application risks before production deployment.
  • Work with developers to investigate and reproduce complex defects.
  • Improve test coverage without creating unnecessary maintenance overhead.
  • Introduce performance and reliability testing where required.
  • Establish QA metrics and engineering-quality standards.
  • Mentor QA engineers and promote quality engineering practices across development teams.

Candidate Profile

  • 6+ years of experience in QA automation, software testing, or quality engineering.
  • Strong programming or scripting skills.
  • Extensive experience with API and end-to-end automation.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern software-development workflows.
  • Experience testing distributed applications and financial transactions.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, containers, and microservices.
  • Strong understanding of defect management and software-quality processes.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Technical Environment

Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, Postman, Java, Python, TypeScript, GitHub Actions/Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, and cloud platforms is highly valuable.

Why This Role Matters

In fintech, a small software defect can have significant financial and customer consequences. Your work will directly contribute to preventing transaction failures, data inconsistencies, service disruptions, and costly production incidents.

Ideal candidate: a quality-engineering leader who believes testing should be part of software architecture—not simply the final step before release.
