A modern fintech organisation in Estonia is seeking a Fintech Platform Operations Lead to oversee the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical technology platforms supporting financial services.

The role combines operational leadership, technology management, incident coordination, service reliability, and continuous improvement. You will help ensure that core fintech platforms remain dependable as transaction volumes, integrations, and product complexity increase.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational management of critical fintech platforms and technology services.
• Establish operational standards covering availability, performance, incident management, and service continuity.
• Coordinate responses to major production incidents and ensure effective resolution.
• Develop monitoring and alerting strategies for business-critical systems.
• Analyse recurring incidents and lead initiatives to eliminate underlying causes.
• Work with engineering teams to improve platform reliability and operational maturity.
• Establish service-level objectives and operational performance indicators.
• Coordinate planned releases, infrastructure changes, and operational readiness activities.
• Develop disaster-recovery and business-continuity procedures for critical services.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, escalation processes, and service inventories.
• Analyse platform performance and identify opportunities for automation.
• Provide senior leadership with clear reporting on operational health, risks, and improvement programmes.

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of experience in technology operations, SRE, platform engineering, DevOps, or financial technology.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed production systems.
• Experience with incident management, observability, monitoring, and service reliability.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automated operational tooling.
• Strong understanding of availability, capacity, resilience, and disaster recovery.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams during high-priority incidents.
• Excellent communication, prioritisation, and operational decision-making skills.

Operational Environment

Cloud platforms, Kubernetes, containerised services, observability and monitoring systems, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, automated incident response, distributed applications, and financial transaction platforms.
