Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fintech Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to maintain and improve the availability, performance, and resilience of financial technology infrastructure.

The successful candidate will work closely with software engineering, cloud operations, and cybersecurity teams to monitor production environments, optimise infrastructure performance, and reduce service disruptions affecting financial applications.

This position is ideal for an infrastructure professional with strong cloud engineering capabilities and an understanding of the reliability requirements of financial technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimise infrastructure supporting fintech applications.

• Monitor production systems to ensure service availability and performance.

• Develop automated processes for infrastructure provisioning and configuration.

• Manage cloud-based environments and containerised application deployments.

• Investigate system incidents and coordinate technical recovery activities.

• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.

• Improve system resilience through redundancy and disaster recovery procedures.

• Collaborate with development teams to optimise application deployment pipelines.

• Support infrastructure security and access management controls.

• Conduct performance assessments and identify potential infrastructure bottlenecks.

• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

• Participate in incident reviews and implement preventive improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.

• Professional experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.

• Strong knowledge of Linux administration and networking fundamentals.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

• Knowledge of Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

• Understanding of monitoring tools, system observability, and incident management.

• Knowledge of financial application security and high-availability environments is advantageous.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
