Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Financial Technology Quality Assurance Engineer to support the testing and validation of software applications used across digital financial services.

The successful candidate will design and execute testing procedures, identify software defects, validate financial transaction workflows, and work closely with development teams to ensure that applications meet established quality standards.

This position is particularly suited to a quality assurance professional with an interest in financial technology, payment processing, and software reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for fintech applications and digital financial platforms.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

• Validate payment processing workflows, transaction records, and account-related functionalities.

• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.

• Conduct API testing to verify communication between financial applications and external systems.

• Test application performance under different transaction volumes and operational conditions.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve software quality issues.

• Maintain detailed test documentation and quality assurance reports.

• Support automated testing initiatives using appropriate testing frameworks.

• Verify software updates and new features before deployment.

• Ensure testing procedures address data accuracy, system reliability, and security requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Previous experience in software quality assurance or application testing.

• Understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies.

• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages.

• Understanding of databases, SQL, and financial transaction workflows.

• Experience testing payment applications or banking software is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed engineering teams.
