Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fintech Business Systems Analyst to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery across digital financial services. The successful candidate will analyse existing workflows, document system requirements, and collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to improve financial applications and business processes.

This role is ideal for a professional who can understand operational challenges, translate them into clear technical specifications, and support the delivery of reliable fintech solutions. You will contribute to system improvements involving digital payments, customer account management, transaction processing, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements from finance, operations, customer service, and product stakeholders.

• Document functional requirements, process flows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.

• Assess existing systems and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience.

• Translate business needs into actionable specifications for software developers and technical teams.

• Support requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and solution assessment activities.

• Analyse transaction workflows and investigate issues involving payment processing, account records, and operational reporting.

• Coordinate user acceptance testing and verify that delivered solutions meet agreed requirements.

• Maintain business process documentation, system specifications, and change records.

• Work with quality assurance teams to clarify expected system behaviour and validate test scenarios.

• Monitor implemented changes and gather feedback to support continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements

• A degree or equivalent practical experience in Business Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Experience in business analysis, systems analysis, fintech operations, or software delivery.

• Strong requirements documentation and process modelling skills.

• Familiarity with SQL, spreadsheets, workflow diagrams, and reporting tools.

• Understanding of APIs, databases, and software development lifecycles.

• Knowledge of payment processing, digital banking, or financial transaction workflows is advantageous.

• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or comparable requirements management tools is beneficial.
