Role Summary

The Business Analyst will analyse business data, develop performance reports, and identify trends that help stakeholders understand operational results and business opportunities. The role combines analytical problem-solving with requirements gathering, reporting development, and communication of findings to support practical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into analytical specifications.

• Analyse operational, financial, customer, and performance datasets to identify trends and anomalies.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, recurring reports, and performance summaries.

• Define and monitor key performance indicators in collaboration with relevant departments.

• Validate data accuracy and investigate inconsistencies across reporting sources.

• Use spreadsheets, SQL queries, or business intelligence tools to extract and interpret information.

• Present findings and recommendations in clear reports suitable for different stakeholder groups.

• Support forecasting, business planning, and performance review activities.

• Collaborate with data and technology teams to improve reporting processes and data availability.

• Document metric definitions, analytical assumptions, and reporting procedures to ensure consistency.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Experience in business analysis, performance reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence.

• Strong Excel skills and practical experience analysing structured datasets.

• Familiarity with SQL and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.

• Ability to interpret quantitative information and communicate actionable insights.

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data validation.

• Good stakeholder management, organisation, and presentation skills.

• Professional proficiency in English; experience supporting performance reporting in a technology or financial services business is an advantage.
