Description

An international business operating in Estonia is looking for a commercially minded Corporate FX Manager to strengthen its treasury and foreign-exchange risk function. The position focuses on identifying currency exposures, developing practical hedging solutions, managing banking relationships, and ensuring that the organisation’s FX activities remain efficient and appropriately controlled.

The successful candidate will combine financial-market knowledge with corporate treasury expertise. You will analyse currency requirements across different business units, assess market conditions, execute approved transactions, and provide management with clear information on foreign-exchange risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate FX exposure across multiple currencies and operating entities.
  • Identify, quantify, and monitor transactional and forecast currency exposures.
  • Develop appropriate hedging recommendations based on exposure profiles and approved treasury policies.
  • Execute FX transactions with authorised banking and financial counterparties.
  • Monitor spot and forward FX markets and assess changes that could affect the organisation’s financial position.
  • Review bank quotations and evaluate execution quality, pricing, spreads, and transaction costs.
  • Maintain oversight of outstanding hedges, maturities, settlements, and counterparty positions.
  • Support short-, medium-, and long-term cash-flow forecasting from an FX perspective.
  • Work with finance and business teams to improve the accuracy of foreign-currency forecasts.
  • Prepare treasury reports covering FX exposures, hedge positions, realised and unrealised results, and market developments.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of treasury policies, controls, and approval procedures.
  • Coordinate with accounting teams on FX valuation, settlements, reconciliations, and hedge-accounting requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with relationship banks and treasury service providers.
  • Contribute to the implementation of treasury technology and automation initiatives.
  • Provide management with clear analysis of material currency risks and recommended actions.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in corporate treasury, FX risk management, banking, or financial-market operations.
  • Strong understanding of currency exposure and corporate hedging principles.
  • Practical experience with FX forwards, spot transactions, swaps, and related instruments.
  • Strong knowledge of cash management and liquidity forecasting.
  • Ability to analyse complex financial information and convert it into practical recommendations.
  • Experience working with banks, brokers, or financial counterparties.
  • Strong Excel and financial-modelling capabilities.
  • Familiarity with treasury-management systems and ERP environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong control awareness.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with finance, accounting, and operational stakeholders.
  • Relevant professional qualification or degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field is advantageous.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is analytical, commercially aware, and risk-conscious, with the ability to balance efficient FX execution against the organisation’s broader treasury objectives. You should be confident working with financial data, communicating with banking partners, and explaining currency risks to non-specialist stakeholders.

Opportunity

This position provides broad exposure to corporate treasury, FX markets, liquidity management, and financial-risk strategy. It is particularly suited to a treasury professional looking to take ownership of a significant FX function within Estonia’s internationally connected business environment.
