Role Overview

We are looking for a Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain the technical systems that support blockchain applications. You will contribute to node infrastructure, blockchain data services, transaction processing, and developer tooling, helping ensure that decentralised products remain reliable, observable, and efficient.

The ideal candidate combines strong backend or infrastructure engineering skills with practical knowledge of blockchain protocols and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain blockchain nodes and supporting infrastructure across relevant networks.
• Develop backend services for blockchain data retrieval, transaction submission, event processing, and application integration.
• Build reliable integrations with blockchain RPC endpoints, indexing services, and event-streaming systems.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance dashboards for blockchain infrastructure.
• Investigate network congestion, transaction failures, node synchronisation issues, and service interruptions.
• Improve infrastructure reliability through automation, capacity planning, redundancy, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Develop tools that simplify smart contract deployment, transaction monitoring, and blockchain application debugging.
• Work with backend and smart contract engineers to improve integration reliability and operational performance.
• Design data pipelines that process on-chain events and make blockchain information accessible to applications.
• Apply security controls to infrastructure, credentials, deployment processes, and service access.
• Maintain infrastructure-as-code configurations and CI/CD workflows.
• Document operational procedures, architecture decisions, and incident response processes.
• Evaluate new blockchain networks, scaling solutions, and infrastructure technologies.

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in backend engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or blockchain infrastructure.
• Practical knowledge of blockchain fundamentals, transaction lifecycle, consensus mechanisms, and node architecture.
• Experience with one or more blockchain ecosystems, such as Ethereum-compatible networks or other major distributed ledger platforms.
• Proficiency in a backend language such as Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with JSON-RPC, WebSockets, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of databases, caching, message queues, and high-volume data processing.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools and production incident investigation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, access management, and secure deployment practices.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed technical teams.
