We are looking for an Algorithmic FX Engineer to develop and optimise technology supporting automated foreign-exchange trading and execution.

This is a highly technical position for an engineer who understands both software engineering and the mechanics of electronic financial markets. You will work alongside quantitative researchers, traders, infrastructure engineers, and risk specialists to build reliable, low-latency trading capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated FX execution systems.
• Build high-performance services for market-data processing and order execution.
• Integrate external liquidity providers, trading venues, and financial APIs.
• Improve execution quality through latency, routing, and transaction-cost analysis.
• Implement monitoring and controls for automated trading workflows.
• Work with quantitative teams to productionise trading models.
• Design robust systems for real-time market-data ingestion.
• Investigate execution anomalies and system-performance issues.
• Contribute to testing, simulation, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Improve system resilience, observability, and operational reliability.

Technical Environment

Python, Java, C++, REST/WebSocket APIs, market-data feeds, SQL, event-driven architectures, cloud infrastructure, containerisation, CI/CD, and real-time monitoring.

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of professional software-engineering experience.
• Experience with trading technology, electronic markets, fintech, or another high-performance financial environment.
• Strong programming and systems-design capabilities.
• Understanding of FX execution, order types, liquidity, and market-data architecture.
• Experience building production-grade distributed systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with quantitative trading environments is highly valuable.
