Role Summary

The Investment Platform Solutions Architect will design the technical architecture supporting digital investing and wealth management products. The position focuses on building resilient, secure and interoperable systems that connect investment accounts, portfolio data, market information, transaction processing and third-party financial services.

The successful candidate will work closely with software engineering, infrastructure, security and product teams to translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable architecture for investment platforms, portfolio services and digital wealth management applications.

• Define integration patterns for brokerage systems, market data providers, banking services and external financial APIs.

• Establish architectural standards for system reliability, performance, security and maintainability.

• Evaluate cloud infrastructure, databases, messaging systems and distributed application technologies.

• Support secure processing and storage of investment account information and financial transactions.

• Review technical designs and guide engineering teams through complex implementation decisions.

• Identify architectural risks, technical debt and opportunities to improve platform resilience.

• Document system interfaces, architecture decisions and integration requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• At least six years of experience in software architecture, platform engineering or solutions design.

• Experience designing distributed systems, REST APIs, event-driven services and cloud-based applications.

• Familiarity with financial services integrations, brokerage technology, portfolio systems or investment data workflows.

• Strong knowledge of authentication, authorisation, encryption and secure API design.

• Experience with cloud platforms, containerisation, observability and automated deployment practices.

• Strong analytical, documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
