Role Summary

The Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer will build and maintain the infrastructure supporting blockchain nodes, network services, and decentralised applications. The role combines cloud engineering, automation, monitoring, and blockchain operations to ensure reliable connectivity, efficient resource utilisation, and secure infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain blockchain nodes across supported networks.
• Develop infrastructure automation for node provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and recovery.
• Manage cloud-based and containerised environments supporting blockchain workloads.
• Implement monitoring for node health, synchronisation status, network connectivity, and resource utilisation.
• Troubleshoot node failures, synchronisation delays, RPC endpoint issues, and infrastructure incidents.
• Apply access controls, secrets management, network security, and system hardening practices.
• Maintain backup, recovery, and operational procedures for critical infrastructure components.
• Collaborate with blockchain developers to provide reliable RPC access and application connectivity.
• Improve deployment pipelines, infrastructure observability, and operational documentation.
• Evaluate infrastructure capacity and optimise performance and cloud expenditure.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, cloud operations, or production systems administration.
• Practical knowledge of Linux, networking, containers, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or comparable technologies.
• Familiarity with blockchain node operation, RPC interfaces, and distributed network concepts.
• Experience with monitoring tools, log analysis, incident response, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of infrastructure security, identity and access management, and secrets protection.
• Scripting ability in Python, Bash, Go, or a comparable language.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills, with professional proficiency in English.
