Position Overview

We are seeking a capable Foreign Exchange Dealer to support currency dealing activities, monitor market movements, and execute authorised foreign exchange transactions within established risk parameters. The successful candidate will contribute to efficient pricing, accurate trade execution, and disciplined management of trading exposures.

This role is designed for a market-focused professional with a strong understanding of currency pricing, liquidity, execution practices, and financial risk controls. Working alongside trading, operations, and compliance colleagues, the dealer will help maintain orderly dealing processes and ensure that transaction activity is documented and managed appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor major and selected emerging-market currency pairs, market prices, liquidity, and volatility.

• Execute authorised FX transactions in accordance with dealing procedures and approved trading limits.

• Monitor bid-ask spreads, market depth, and execution quality under prevailing market conditions.

• Review trading exposures and escalate positions or losses that approach established risk thresholds.

• Maintain accurate trade records and ensure timely communication of executed transactions to operations teams.

• Coordinate with liquidity providers and internal stakeholders to support efficient pricing and execution.

• Analyse market movements and contribute to daily dealing summaries and trading reports.

• Investigate execution discrepancies and assist with resolving trade booking or confirmation issues.

• Apply disciplined trade handling and follow internal controls governing dealing authority and position limits.

• Support continuous improvements in dealing workflows, market monitoring, and execution reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Two or more years of experience in FX dealing, trading support, treasury, or financial markets.

• Strong understanding of currency pairs, spot FX, forwards, spreads, liquidity, and market volatility.

• Familiarity with trading platforms, market data terminals, and electronic execution workflows.

• Good numerical, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work accurately under time pressure and communicate effectively with other market professionals.

• Understanding of trade controls, exposure monitoring, and applicable financial services requirements.

• Experience with automated execution systems or liquidity management is an advantage.
