  • Investigate alerts and cases generated through fraud-monitoring systems.
  • Review account behavior, transaction histories, device information, and other relevant indicators.
  • Identify emerging fraud typologies and recurring attack patterns.
  • Escalate significant cases through established investigation procedures.
  • Document investigation findings clearly and accurately.
  • Work with risk, compliance, security, payments, and customer-operations teams.
  • Analyze false positives and contribute to improving detection accuracy.
  • Support the development and refinement of fraud-monitoring rules.
  • Review historical cases to identify patterns that may improve future detection.
  • Prepare analytical reports on fraud trends and operational findings.
  • Assist with investigations involving payment abuse, account compromise, identity-related fraud, or suspicious transaction behavior.
  • Support testing of new fraud-detection controls and monitoring capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate case-management records.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in fraud-prevention processes.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an analytical professional with experience in fraud operations, transaction monitoring, fintech, banking, payments, risk analysis, cybersecurity, or financial investigations.

You should demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and investigative ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to recognize patterns across large amounts of information.
  • Understanding of transaction lifecycles and digital financial services.
  • Strong written documentation skills.
  • Ability to make evidence-based operational assessments.
  • Confidence working with sensitive information.
  • Ability to manage multiple investigations systematically.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Curiosity and persistence when investigating unusual activity.

Technical Experience

Experience with SQL, Excel, Python, BI platforms, fraud-detection systems, case-management platforms, transaction-monitoring tools, device intelligence, behavioral analytics, or machine-learning-based fraud systems would be advantageous.

Knowledge of payment fraud, account takeover, identity fraud, card fraud, digital-wallet abuse, merchant fraud, or other fintech-related fraud patterns would also be valuable.

The Professional Environment

The role operates at the intersection of financial technology, data analytics, payments, cybersecurity, and risk management. You will work with large volumes of operational information while contributing to processes designed to protect digital financial services and their users.

What You Can Develop

This position offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in financial crime and fraud intelligence while gaining practical exposure to modern detection technologies, transaction analytics, digital payments, and fintech security operations within Estonia’s technology-driven financial sector.
