Description
Make financial technology safer, more reliable, and production-ready through engineering-led quality assurance.
We are seeking a Fintech QA Automation Lead to establish and advance automated quality engineering across complex financial applications. This role goes beyond conventional software testing: you will help define how fintech products are validated before they reach customers and financial infrastructure.
You will work across engineering and product teams to build automation frameworks, improve test coverage, identify systemic quality risks, and introduce stronger testing practices for transaction-heavy and highly regulated applications.
What You’ll Own
- Design and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for fintech applications.
- Develop automated API, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end test suites.
- Establish quality engineering standards across development teams.
- Test financial transaction workflows, account management, payment processes, and customer journeys.
- Validate complex business rules involving balances, fees, limits, transaction states, and financial calculations.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify quality risks early during architecture and product-development stages.
- Analyse production defects and establish preventative testing strategies.
- Work with developers to improve testability and engineering quality.
- Define test strategies for new products and major platform releases.
- Monitor test performance, reliability, coverage, and defect trends.
- Mentor QA engineers and promote automation-first testing practices.
Candidate Profile
- 6+ years of experience in software QA, quality engineering, test automation, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Strong experience with automation frameworks and API testing.
- Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern software-development practices.
- Experience testing distributed systems, APIs, databases, and cloud-based applications.
- Previous experience in fintech, banking, payments, trading, insurance, or another transaction-intensive environment is highly valuable.
- Strong understanding of test strategy, risk-based testing, regression management, and defect analysis.
- Experience with performance and reliability testing is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
Ideal Candidate
You are a quality engineer who understands that financial software cannot simply “mostly work.” You are comfortable challenging assumptions, investigating difficult defects, and building automation that gives engineering teams confidence to release quickly without compromising reliability.
This is a strong opportunity to influence engineering standards across a growing fintech environment in Estonia.
