Engineer the Core of Modern Digital Banking

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Digital Banking Engineer to develop the backend capabilities supporting modern digital banking products. This is a technically demanding role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems around financial accounts, transaction processing, customer services, and highly reliable distributed systems.

You will contribute to systems where correctness and availability are critical, working closely with product, security, compliance, and engineering teams to deliver secure and scalable banking functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services supporting digital banking products.
• Build reliable account, balance, transaction, transfer, and payment capabilities.
• Develop APIs connecting banking services with internal and external platforms.
• Implement robust transaction-processing and state-management mechanisms.
• Build services capable of handling high volumes of concurrent financial transactions.
• Develop reconciliation and transaction-integrity mechanisms.
• Improve application performance, availability, and fault tolerance.
• Participate in architectural decisions and technical design reviews.
• Implement automated testing and quality controls for mission-critical services.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment, monitoring, and production reliability.
• Investigate complex production issues and develop long-term technical solutions.
• Contribute to engineering standards covering security, maintainability, and scalability.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, or a comparable language.
• Excellent understanding of distributed systems and microservice architecture.
• Strong SQL and relational-database experience.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems, messaging platforms, and asynchronous processing.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Experience within banking, payments, lending, fintech, or another transaction-intensive environment is highly advantageous.
