Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Payments Automation Architect to design intelligent, highly automated payment-processing solutions for a modern fintech environment. The role focuses on reducing manual operations, improving transaction efficiency, and building resilient automation across payment initiation, reconciliation, settlement, and exception management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design automation architecture for end-to-end payment workflows.
• Develop solutions for automated reconciliation, settlement, transaction matching, and exception handling.
• Integrate payment processors, banking APIs, accounting platforms, and internal financial systems.
• Establish event-driven workflows for real-time transaction processing.
• Identify operational processes suitable for intelligent automation.
• Define architecture standards for reliability, scalability, security, and observability.
• Work with engineering, finance, operations, risk, and compliance teams.
• Lead technical assessments of emerging automation and financial-infrastructure technologies.
• Monitor system performance and continuously improve payment-processing efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in fintech, payments, banking technology, or software architecture.
• Strong knowledge of payment processing, reconciliation, settlement, and financial APIs.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud platforms, and automation.
• Strong programming or scripting experience with technologies such as Java, Python, Go, or similar.
• Excellent systems-design and technical leadership capabilities.
