An opportunity is available for a forward-thinking Strategist to support the development and adoption of technology-driven solutions across Estonia’s agricultural sector. The position combines agricultural operations with digital technologies, data analytics, automation, sustainability, and commercial strategy.

The successful candidate will assess agricultural challenges and identify opportunities to introduce precision-farming technologies, intelligent equipment, remote sensing, agricultural analytics, and automated production systems. The role will involve working with farmers, agronomists, technology developers, equipment suppliers, researchers, and business stakeholders to turn emerging technologies into practical solutions.

The Strategist will also analyze market developments, production trends, resource utilization, and environmental considerations. The professional will be expected to develop structured strategies that improve agricultural productivity while supporting sustainable land and resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies for technology-enabled agricultural transformation.
• Research emerging agritech and precision-farming technologies.
• Analyze agricultural production, market, and operational data.
• Identify opportunities for automation and intelligent farm management.
• Evaluate technologies involving sensors, satellite imagery, drones, and agricultural analytics.
• Support sustainable farming and resource-efficiency programmes.
• Develop business cases for agricultural technology investments.
• Coordinate farmers, researchers, technology providers, and industry partners.
• Monitor implementation of agritech initiatives and evaluate performance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce production costs and operational waste.
• Prepare strategic reports, market assessments, and investment recommendations.
• Track international developments in smart agriculture and food technology.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agritech, Engineering, Data Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Experience in agricultural operations, technology strategy, sustainability, or innovation.
• Strong analytical and strategic-planning capabilities.
• Understanding of precision agriculture and digital farming technologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to translate technical developments into practical commercial strategies.
