Position Overview

We are seeking a commercially minded Strategist to develop and execute strategic initiatives across digital payments, embedded finance, account-to-account transfers, payment orchestration, and next-generation financial products.

The role combines market intelligence, financial-services strategy, product economics, and operational execution. You will evaluate emerging opportunities, translate market developments into actionable strategies, and work across product, technology, compliance, operations, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic roadmaps for digital payment and financial-services initiatives.
• Analyse European fintech markets, payment trends, competitors, and customer behaviour.
• Evaluate new payment rails, embedded-finance models, and digital financial products.
• Build business cases incorporating revenue potential, cost structures, operational requirements, and risk considerations.
• Translate complex market intelligence into executive-level recommendations.
• Support product teams in defining commercially viable fintech propositions.
• Identify opportunities to improve payment conversion, transaction efficiency, and customer experience.
• Develop strategic performance frameworks and monitor key business indicators.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving technology, finance, operations, legal, and compliance.
• Prepare investment cases, strategic presentations, market assessments, and executive reports.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong financial-services knowledge and the ability to operate comfortably across business and technology environments.

Preferred qualifications:

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Technology, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in fintech, banking, payments, consulting, or financial technology.
• Strong understanding of European payments and digital-finance ecosystems.
• Excellent analytical, financial-modelling, and presentation capabilities.
• Experience developing strategic business cases and operating models.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Professional English required; knowledge of Estonian or another European language is advantageous.
