Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Operations Analyst to improve supply chain performance through data analysis, operational planning, process optimisation, and evidence-based decision-making. The successful candidate will analyse procurement activities, inventory levels, supplier performance, logistics operations, and demand patterns to identify inefficiencies, reduce operating costs, and improve the reliability of supply chain processes.

The role requires a combination of analytical expertise, commercial awareness, and practical knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations. Working with procurement, warehousing, logistics, finance, sales, and supplier management teams, the analyst will translate operational data into actionable recommendations that support service delivery, cost control, and business continuity.

Based in Estonia, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to supply chain operations serving local and international markets. The successful candidate will help strengthen planning accuracy, improve inventory visibility, monitor supplier reliability, and establish performance reporting that supports operational excellence across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse end-to-end supply chain performance, including procurement, inventory management, order fulfilment, warehousing, transportation, and supplier delivery.

  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards, management reports, and key performance indicators to monitor efficiency, service levels, and cost performance.

  • Evaluate demand forecasts, historical sales data, seasonal patterns, and inventory movements to identify potential shortages, excess stock, and replenishment requirements.

  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels, delivery schedules, quality standards, lead times, and contractual commitments.

  • Investigate supply chain disruptions, delayed shipments, inventory discrepancies, and order fulfilment issues, recommending corrective actions.

  • Conduct root-cause analysis to identify recurring operational problems and develop sustainable process improvements.

  • Support procurement planning through spend analysis, supplier comparisons, purchasing trend assessments, and cost optimisation initiatives.

  • Assess inventory turnover, stock availability, safety stock levels, and working capital implications to improve inventory efficiency.

  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to evaluate transportation costs, delivery performance, storage utilisation, and distribution processes.

  • Analyse supply chain costs and prepare financial assessments that support budgeting, cost forecasting, and operational planning.

  • Develop analytical models to evaluate alternative suppliers, transport routes, replenishment strategies, and distribution scenarios.

  • Maintain accurate supply chain datasets and ensure consistency across enterprise resource planning (ERP), warehouse management, and procurement systems.

  • Support the implementation of supply chain technology, reporting automation, and data integration initiatives.

  • Prepare recommendations for management on operational risks, supplier dependencies, capacity constraints, and opportunities to improve resilience.

  • Contribute to standard operating procedures, internal controls, and continuous improvement projects across supply chain functions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • At least five years of relevant experience in supply chain analytics, logistics operations, procurement analysis, inventory planning, or operational performance management.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex operational datasets and translate findings into practical business recommendations.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, demand planning, inventory control, transportation, warehousing, and order fulfilment.

  • Experience developing performance reports, operational forecasts, cost analyses, and management dashboards.

  • Practical knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, or comparable enterprise platforms.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, data modelling, and analytical reporting.

  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

  • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with forecasting methods, inventory optimisation, supplier scorecards, and root-cause analysis.

  • Understanding of supply chain risk management, internal controls, and relevant procurement and logistics practices.

  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
