We are looking for a Senior Fintech Platform Engineering Manager to lead the engineering teams responsible for the internal platforms, developer tooling, and technical foundations that enable financial products to scale.

This position combines people leadership, technical strategy, engineering execution, and platform modernization.

The Opportunity

You will manage engineers building shared services and development infrastructure used by multiple fintech product teams. Your objective will be to make engineering teams faster, safer, and more reliable by providing strong internal platforms rather than forcing every product team to solve the same infrastructure problems independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing platform engineering team.
• Establish engineering strategy for internal developer platforms and shared services.
• Improve developer productivity through automation and self-service tooling.
• Build scalable deployment and service-management capabilities.
• Establish standards for observability, reliability, security, and operational readiness.
• Partner with product engineering teams to understand platform requirements.
• Lead modernization of legacy engineering infrastructure.
• Manage technical roadmaps, priorities, budgets, and delivery commitments.
• Promote infrastructure-as-code and automated operational processes.
• Establish engineering standards for platform services and APIs.
• Support incident-management and post-incident improvement programmes.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop senior engineering talent.
• Communicate technical strategy and platform performance to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

• 8+ years of software or platform engineering experience.
• 3+ years of engineering-management or technical leadership experience.
• Strong background in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience managing engineers working on internal platforms or developer tooling.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, observability, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience operating production systems at meaningful scale.
• Strong understanding of security and reliability engineering principles.
• Excellent leadership, prioritization, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
