A high-growth fintech environment in Estonia is seeking a Senior Fintech Payments Operations Manager to oversee the operational performance of payment services across transaction processing, settlement, exceptions, partner coordination, and customer-impacting payment flows.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a payments professional who can combine operational control with technology-driven improvement. You will work across product, engineering, finance, banking partners, and customer operations to keep payment services reliable and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operational management of payment processing activities.
• Monitor transaction volumes, processing performance, settlement cycles, and payment exceptions.
• Coordinate resolution of failed, delayed, rejected, or incorrectly processed transactions.
• Manage operational relationships with banks, payment processors, and financial infrastructure providers.
• Establish performance metrics covering payment success rates, processing times, exceptions, and operational efficiency.
• Work with engineering teams to investigate technical payment issues and recurring failures.
• Improve payment workflows through automation, standardisation, and process redesign.
• Coordinate operational readiness for new payment products, methods, and integrations.
• Maintain procedures for payment incidents, escalations, reconciliations, and service continuity.
• Analyse payment data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with finance and reconciliation teams to resolve settlement differences.
• Provide senior leadership with regular reporting on payment performance and operational risks.

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of experience in payments, fintech, banking operations, transaction processing, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of payment lifecycles, settlement, reconciliation, and transaction exceptions.
• Experience working with payment processors and banking integrations.
• Strong analytical and operational problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with payment data and operational dashboards.
• Excellent stakeholder and incident-management capabilities.
• Strong understanding of technology-enabled financial operations.
